The purpose of the educational and professional programme is to train highly qualified specialists in religious studies. To develop in graduates the skills to solve complex scientific, educational and practical problems in the field of religious studies, as well as the ability to perform analytical, advisory, and expert functions on the peculiarities of the development of religion in individual countries and regions, professionals who can adapt to new professions, types and forms of employment in the context of the rapid development of the world community and globalisation of the world.

The programme contains elements of studying the religious situation in Ukraine and the world, as well as current trends in the development of modern religious studies.
The programme combines the study of the religious component of social, communicative, cultural, and political processes with in-depth study of a foreign (English) language.
The practical component of the training is provided by research and pedagogical practice.
