Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers graduate study leading to a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and an 18 unit graduate Certificate in Rehabilitation Technology. The areas of study are Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Electromagnetic Systems, VLSI Systems, Computer Networks, Energy Systems and Control and Embedded Systems. Learning Outcomes: a basic understanding of the nature of current flow and voltage distribution in electric circuits; Analysis tools for the precise computation of currents and voltages in DC, transient, and AC circuits; An introduction to the behavior of standard passive electrical components, operational amplifiers and transformers; A sense of the potential hazards involved in the physical manipulation of electric circuits and power lines and the skills needed to determine the electrical behavior of circuits using computer based design and analysis aids.
