With resources that rival the biggest studios, award-winning professors, stellar signature festivals, and a talent pool that includes actors, writers, and production staff, SCAD film and television students have the resources and the stage to lead their own career narratives. Students are immersed in all aspects of the production process as they develop artistic and technical mastery — and work on real sets long before graduation. At SCAD, students enhance their filmmaking with cutting-edge equipment, benefit from the extensive connections of accomplished faculty, and find the right role for them in top productions. While not required of most applicants, submission of GRE scores is strongly encouraged for applicants to architectural history, art history, business design and arts leaderships and cinema studies. Additionally, if your undergraduate program doesn't meet certain requirements regarding accreditation and/or approval by the U.S. Department of Education, GRE scores may be required. Please discuss this with your admission adviser to be sure what will be required of you. Acceptance into graduate programs at SCAD is based heavily on the portfolio. Unlike undergraduate portfolios, graduate program portfolios are required for acceptance and must be program-specific. Each program has its preferred types of portfolios.
