Oceanography is a multidisciplinary subject that studies the physical, chemical, geological and biological processes of the oceans. Having a large marine territory, Bangladesh is blessed with multiple oceanic resources like fisheries, minerals, hydrocarbon and navigation facility. Oceanography deals with these resources and facility in research perspective. The B.Sc (Honors) program consists of eight semesters and 64 courses. The courses are divided into Core, General Education, Elective or optional and capstone courses. The goal of the program is to create graduates for oceanographic research field and related job industry.
