The Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Mining Engineering program produces engineers equipped to conduct the safe and environmentally sound exploration, evaluation, development and recovery of oil, gas, and other minerals. Students will learn geology, drilling, production operations, reservoir engineering, surface and underground mining, rock mechanics, mine ventilation, and environment and safety through classroom and laboratory instruction, as well as extensive field work. Students are taught to perform thesis or design of a capstone project selected from Petroleum or Mining field in their final year.
