Information and data engineers must develop complex protocols to intermix legacy systems with new systems in such a way that allows for enhanced capabilities. The impact of information science cuts across all areas of society including business, medicine and industry. At Stevens, graduate students work alongside faculty who are developing new paradigms for all kinds of networked systems. Graduate students have access to state-of-the-art research facilities including the Embedded Systems and Robotics Laboratory. As one of the country's premiere institutions for computer engineering, signal processing and emerging communications standards, Stevens offers graduate students exposure to a broad-based, interdisciplinary curriculum.
