Computational scientists construct mathematical models and design numerical simulations that use the power of computation to address challenges in a myriad of other disciplines. Computational Science at Stevens: Stevens is one of the few universities in the country to offer a degree in computational sciences at the undergraduate level, meaning students are already ahead of the competition when pursuing a job in industry or an advanced degree. With a strong foundation in computing and programming, graduates of this program have gone on to work with climate change, pharmaceutical development, and cyber terrorism. Students May Specialize in One of the Following Areas: Computational Chemistry, Computational Mechanics, Computational Oceanography, Computational Physics, Computer Vision And Graphics, Cyber security. While developing skills in technical reasoning and logic, students in this program will expand their ability to communicate and collaborate across disciplines.
