The Master of Science in Construction Management prepares graduate students for leadership in the industry with advanced technical, management and applied research skills. Focusing on mega projects, the construction management program fosters an immersive experience that exposes students to real world business situations involving leadership challenges, legal issues, safety hazards and marketing strategies. The curriculum provides a holistic foundation for professionals with relevant case studies, engaging research projects and an infinite amount of opportunities to connect theory to practice through fieldwork, internships, and cooperative education. In the midst of the ever-developing metropolitan landscape, Stevens’s students have direct access to monumental construction projects by regional and international firms. In addition, the majority of instructors in this program are working professionals with a deep knowledge of process and theory within specific communities. Instructor Concentrations: why mega projects fail, legal issues in the built environment, strategic knowledge management and transfer in the a/e/c industry, safety in the competitive construction arena. With academic rigor in the classroom, this program has been designed with the flexibility for students to explore their interest in a specialized area.
