The "Mechanical Engineering" specialty provides students with complex fundamental and specialized training that meets the requirements of the Law on Higher Education. The admission of students is carried out according to the Admission Rules of TU Sofia.

Training in the specialty "Mechanical Engineering" is based on mandatory and optional disciplines. The mandatory ones are:  fundamental  (mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, engineering graphics);  humanitarian  (economics, management and marketing) and  general engineering  (materials science, mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, automatic regulation and control, machine elements and mechanisms, safety technology and environmental protection).

Elective disciplines form the following areas:

  • AUTOMATION TECHNIQUE AND ENGINEERING
  • ENGINEERING LOGISTICS AND TECHNIQUE
  • NON-METALLIC MATERIALS AND STRUCTURES
  • PRECISION TECHNIQUE
  • CONSTRUCTION AND ECO TECHNIQUES

The distribution of students in the respective fields is carried out on the basis of the wishes expressed by them and the success shown during the first two years of study.
