Selecting the right scholarship can be a daunting process. With countless options available, students often find themselves overwhelmed and confused. The decision can be especially stressful for those facing financial constraints or pursuing specific academic or career goals.
To help students navigate this challenging process, we recommend the following articles:
Turan-Astana University (TAU) offers academic programs in Economics, Business, Management, Law, IT, Tourism, and Design that are fully aligned with national development strategies and global labor market trends. Curricula are updated annually based on professional standards and feedback from industry councils. A strategic response to the digitalization of both public and private sectors is the introduction of the innovative interdisciplinary educational program "Digital Law," which trains specialists at the intersection of legal expertise and modern technology. The academic excellence of TAU is validated by the international accreditation of 22 educational programs by ACQUIN (Germany) in 2024. Within the national academic landscape, TAU maintains a strong reputation: in 2025, the university ranked 5th among the leading humanities and economics universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, consistently remaining among the Top 20 best universities in the country.
TAU ensures the accessibility of higher education through a multi-tiered financial support system. In addition to state grants, the university offers the Rector’s Grant (100 grants awarded last year) for high-achieving applicants with UNT scores of 100+, the "Altyn Belgi" distinction, and Olympiad awards. A prestigious merit-based scholarship named after Professor Toktar Aubakirov (Halyk Kaharmany, the first cosmonaut of the RK) is awarded to students for exceptional academic and research achievements. These initiatives are designed to incentivize academic excellence and support talented youth
The university’s faculty comprises experts with advanced academic degrees and significant practical experience. The teaching staff includes Honored Workers of Kazakhstan, academicians, and scholars contributing to national science. The university actively supports international research activities and faculty publications in indexed journals (Scopus/Web of Science), ensuring the integration of current scientific advancements into the educational process.
Internationalization is a strategic priority for TAU. The university fosters partnerships with higher education institutions in Bulgaria, Spain, Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Malaysia, China, and Romania. A key project is the unique "2+2" dual-degree program in collaboration with Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology (China). Academic mobility programs enable students and faculty to exchange expertise within the global educational landscape.
Engagement with the labor market is facilitated through mandatory internships and placements in national companies and government agencies. A dedicated Career and Placement Department ensures high employability: a significant portion of students receive job offers before graduation. Continuous feedback from employers serves as the basis for the regular updating of educational programs.
