The Universidad Mayor, Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca - USFXCH (The Royal and Pontificial Major University of Saint Francis Xavier of Chuquisaca) is a public university in Sucre, Bolivia, with the following purposes, mission, and vision.
Purposes:
a) The advancement of knowledge in all fields through scientific research aimed at solving the problems of our region and the country, as well as promoting a process of integration between universal scientific knowledge and the traditional knowledge of our cultures and ethnicities.
b) The training of professionals of excellence, aware of the structural transformation of our national reality, with the perspective of consolidating a sovereign and independent country.
c) The articulation of the scientific and cultural activity of the University with national development in all its aspects, as well as with the just demands in the search for a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.

Admission Process at San Francisco Xavier University (USFX)
San Francisco Xavier University (USFX) offers various admission pathways depending on the level of study:
Undergraduate Admissions:
Open Admission: Applicants only need to pass the leveling courses. The cost of the leveling course is Bs. 250 (USD 36.40).
Admission Exam: This is a single exam open to all applicants who, for various reasons, could not attend the Pre-University Course. It is held at the end of January 2025. Like the Pre-University Course, it is designed by subject and weighted based on different knowledge areas.
Postgraduate Admissions:
To apply for postgraduate programs, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
A written application addressed to the CEPI Director or the Dean of the Faculty, as applicable.
A simple photocopy, front and back, of the Academic Diploma or Postgraduate Degree, according to the following details:
For Diploma and Technical Specialization, present an Academic Diploma of Higher Technician or Bachelor's Degree.
For general Specializations and Master's degrees, present an Academic Diploma of Bachelor's Degree.
For Clinical-Surgical Specialties and Non-Clinical-Surgical Master's degrees in the health area, present an Academic Diploma of Bachelor's Degree in the health area.
For Clinical and Clinical-Surgical Specialties in the dental area, present an Academic Diploma of Dentistry.
For Clinical-Surgical Subspecialties in the health area, present a Specialty Title in Clinical-Surgical areas of health.
For a Doctorate, present a Master's Degree.
For a Postdoctorate, present a Doctoral Degree.
A duly completed application form in the format established by the CEPI.
Three copies of the debt recognition and payment commitment contract.
A photocopy of the Identity Card, or Passport for foreigners.
Original proof of payment of the enrollment fee, the amount of which must be based on the payment method.
University values for the contract.
Certification that the applicant has no outstanding accounts with the CEPI; in the case of programs administered by the Faculties, they must also present certification of no debt to that Unit.
