The three-year Degree Course in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences belongs to class 25 Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Technologies, identified by Ministerial Decree 16/3/2007 following Ministerial Decree 270/2004. The Degree Course continues the tradition of degree courses taught for more than a century in the Faculties of Agriculture under the different names of Agricultural Sciences (four-year), Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (five-year), Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (three-year DM 509/1999 and then 270/2004) and now Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The course provides knowledge and skills on the agricultural world in its most general sense, framing the current problems of sustainability and environmental protection. In addition, it prepares for the profession of junior agronomist as required by Presidential Decree 328/2001.
The course is structured in two curricula, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Agricultural Biotechnology, with five specific courses. The student's work is measured in CFU (University Formative Credit): one CFU corresponds to 25 hours of total student work, of which 8 hours are reserved for frontal teaching in the classroom (lesson hours). The part common to the two curriculum includes the following courses divided by learning areas:
  • basic training area with Mathematics and elements of Physics, Elements of Chemistry, Botany, Physiology and Principles of Plant Biotechnology, Agricultural Genetics, English Language;
  • area of ​​plant and animal production with Agronomy, Herbaceous Cultivation, Tree Cultivation, Horticulture and Floriculture, Crop Protection, Biology and Domestic Animal Breeding;
  • technical-economic area with Fundamentals of Agricultural Economics, Rural Estimation, Rural Constructions and Topography, Agricultural Industries.

Admission Requirements

Pass the entrance test (answer 10 out 20 questions correctly). B2 or a higher level in Italian language. In order to enroll at an Italian University, PREVIOUS SCHOOLING OR ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION are required.
