The degree in Sciences of Cultural Heritage (L-1) offers a training course aimed at providing adequate basic knowledge and good methodological training in the field of cultural heritage with particular reference to archaeological and historical-artistic heritage. The course also aims to develop and foster in students the idea that today the knowledge, enhancement and protection of cultural heritage require a multidisciplinary approach. The training course provides a solid basic training through historical, archaeological, historical-artistic, documentary and philological-literary subjects, continues with the acquisition of legislative and managerial knowledge on cultural heritage to which are added subjects aimed at acquiring greater written and speaking of the Italian language and of at least one EU foreign language.

The training is completed through technical-scientific disciplines useful for a greater knowledge and protection of cultural heritage. The offer is enriched by a series of subjects oriented to communication and enhancement in digital contexts of archaeological and historical-artistic assets. Internship and internship activities (nationally and internationally) which ensure the acquisition of technical skills for direct interventions: in archeology with excavation sites, topographic reconnaissance, cataloging of finds and start to their museum and con dissemination-exhibition activities; in the historical-artistic sector with inventory, cataloging of works of art, participation in the organization of exhibition events, support for design, the implementation and management of activities in museums, superintendencies, art galleries, archives and libraries.

At the end of their course, graduates will be in possession of the fundamental tools, both methodical and cognitive, relating to the topics mentioned above. The training course, without anticipating more strictly specialized contents of the master's degrees, provides the bases and the cognitive tools to access higher education also at other Italian locations, according to the specific aptitudes of the students.
