The Law in Society program explores the intimate relationship between law and contemporary societies. Students will study this relationship from an interdisciplinary perspective that may include the philosophic, historic, political, economic and sociological foundations of law. The Law in Society program aims to prepare students for graduate study in the humanities and social sciences, as well as for professional studies including law, public administration, policing, social work, and business. The interdepartmental and inter-faculty structure of the UNB Law in Society program provides students with unique opportunity to explore a diversity of topics and perspectives in the interfacing of law, policy, justice, and social order from a range of perspectives with the flexibility of tailoring the program towards students’ interests.
