On this Bachelor of Nursing at Saint John campus, students will explore the full breadth of the nursing profession, from community nursing to emergency care. The campus is adjacent to New Brunswick’s largest health care facility, the Saint John Regional Hospital - the province's main trauma and heart care centre and medical teaching facility. UNB is also co-located with Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, and NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) Allied Health. Students will begin the degree by taking introductory classes in the physical and social sciences along with courses geared toward career development. In the second year, students will focus on health specialties such as mental health, young families and the relationship between bodies and disease. Third and fourth years courses will concentrate on acute care and community nursing.
