The Department of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science, Applied Science and Engineering is the home of our chemistry faculty in Saint John and is located on the top floor of William F. Ganong Hall. Chemistry is the study of atoms, molecules and their interactions. Chemistry is often described as the central science because studies in biology, geology and physics examine the gross behaviour of materials which is a reflection of what is occurring at the molecular level. In Saint John campus, Chemistry faculty offers the first year of the chemistry programs offered on the Fredericton campus. They also offer upper level courses that lead to a chemistry minor and specialized offerings designed to support other programs such as biology, engineering and arts.
