Nurses work with diverse and vulnerable populations in a wide variety of health care settings at home and abroad, such as: schools, hospitals, day-cares, long-term care facilities, and community clinics. The two-year Bachelor of Nursing Advanced Standing program, offered at the Moncton site, is designed for students with at least 60 credit hours of university experience. This accelerated program allows students to complete their Bachelor of Nursing degree in six terms over 24 months. Graduates are qualified to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

1) Applicants to the Advanced Standing Program must have a minimum grade of 70% on each of the following grade 12 high school courses (or equivalent) with an overall average of 75% on the four:

  • Biology 120
  • Chemistry 122
  • English 122
  • Grade 11 Math Functions and Relations (or Pre-calculus 110 or Foundations of Math 120)

2) UNB Fredericton English Language Program (ELP) Assessment score of 85 with no sub score less than 85
