Biology-Chemistry is one of several interdisciplinary programs offered at UNB. Students will study biology and chemistry jointly to cover a broad base of topics in both disciplines, and can be tailored to individual student interests. Courses in biology, chemistry, math, and physics will give students a knowledge of organisms (from the cellular level up to ecosystem level interactions) and how they can be understood and manipulated through application of chemical tools, techniques, and analysis at the molecular level. A selection of chemistry courses covering its main sub-disciplines will support student understanding of the relevant biochemical, medicinal, and pharmaceutical aspects of the program.
