Resulting from a collaboration between U.Porto (through FLUP), the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and the Bordeaux Montaigne University (France), the European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies (EIMAS) is an interface programme between the humanities, cultural studies and the social sciences that seeks to fill in the existing gaps in the different disciplines that make up this field of study. Founded on the vast experience of its three partner institutions and an effective learning approach in direct contact with the African reality, the course aims at contributing to the emergence of a new generation of specialists in African Studies, in response to the new needs of academia, governmental and non-governmental organisations and the private sector.
