Medical Informatics (MI) is the study of theoretical aspects of information science specific to the understanding of biomedical data, information and knowledge and to the practical application of information technologies in health systems, aimed at improving aspects related to safety, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and availability of healthcare services. Admission Requirements

To apply to U.Porto's 2nd cycle courses (Master’s degree courses), you must meet the following conditions: hold a Bachelor's degree or a legal equivalent in the fields specified by the school/faculty; hold a foreign higher education academic degree which is in compliance with the Bologna process or recognised by U.Porto as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor's degree; AND have an academic or professional career recognised by the University, which proves the applicant’s capability to enter the study cycle.
