The Master’s Degree course in Geology from FCUP aims to prepare professionals to work in any part of the world, either in research projects or companies. The course is based on a combination of multidisciplinary knowledge in the fundamental and applied domains in Geology. The course's study plan therefore trains professionals (geologists and researchers) for activities in innovative technical and scientific fields, from (petro)genesis to geological characterisation, as well as the global environmental management of raw materials in a harmonious and sustainable way.

Admission Requirements
Hold a bachelor's degree in Geology or related fields (Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Biology and Geology or other related scientific and technological areas that include a proven basic education in Earth Sciences);
Hold a foreign higher academic degree in one of the areas described in the previous paragraph;
To be the holder of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that the scientific committee of the course recognizes as sufficient to attest the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies.
