Kinesiology (formerly Exercise Science) has recently phased out 
tracks in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) and Physical 
Education Non-Teaching (PYED). A track in Sports and Recreation Management 
has recently been added. KINE tracks are interdisciplinary by 
design with required courses, electives, and laboratory experiences to 
prepare the student for entry into commercial fitness, hospital-based 
fitness, wellness or cardiac rehabilitation, graduate programs in physical 
therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or wellness promotion. Health Promotion (KNHP) Kinesiology professionals may choose to pursue careers in private, corporate, or wellness related programs. Students will be given the opportunity to pursue certification as personal trainers and engage in specific career related internships. Careers in Kinesiology Hospitals and other health care facilities (KNPT, KNOT, KNHP, and Dietetics/Nutrition) Rehabilitation centers (KNPT, KNOT, KNHP, and Dietetics/Nutrition) Exercise, fitness, and sports centers (KNHP) Corporate/community wellness centers (KNHP) Municipal, corporate, commercial, and private leisure facilities (KSRM) Schools (Coaching minor, Dietetics/Nutrition) Community health nutrition departments and agencies (Dietetics/Nutrition) Extension service (Dietetics/Nutrition) Sales and marketing companies (Dietetics/Nutrition) Food service facilities (Dietetics/Nutrition) Food science and technology companies (Dietetics/Nutrition)
