This postgraduate course provides a unique opportunity for students to enter the field of TESOL without having had prior teaching experience. There are five modules in total, which together enable you to experience varied and innovative perspectives of TESOL. You will learn about methods and approaches to teaching, and also focus on practical techniques as well as develop reflective and observational skills. There is a strong focus on developing your language awareness by exploring grammatical, lexical and phonological aspects of language as well as features of discourse. You will also learn about the principles of testing and research methods and be engaged in professional development activities.  The course therefore enables you to develop the reflective and analytical skills you need to become a professional in the field.
