On entry to the programme, all applicants must meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements for literacy, numeracy, good health and good character. Applicants will be selected based upon the following:

  • Assessment at Course Interview
  • Occupational Health Medical Screening
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service criminal background check
  • Satisfactory Reference, indicating suitability for the course/field of nursing

In addition to the above selection criteria, all candidates must demonstrate achievement of the academic entry requirements, as follows:

  • 1st Degree (2:2 or above) in health related subject
  • GCSE Mathematics (Grade C/4  or above) or equivalent
  • GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
  • IELTs: overall score 6.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing, reading, listening and speaking or equivalent (to have been taken within 2 years before the course commencement date).
