Foundation Entry degree courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to enter directly onto their chosen Honours degree programme. Do you want to develop your creative writing skills and learn about the different styles of writing already out there? The study of English Literature and Creative Writing will give you the opportunity to practise across a wide variety of texts, from poetry and drama to fiction and creative non-fiction. You’ll study the development of ‘English’ as a multicultural literary landscape, as well as key theories that explore the impact of race, gender, class, national identity and ethnicity on the production and reading of literary texts. By the end of your studies, you’ll have learned the skills required for writing as a professional practice.
