New media such as online news outlets, social media and blogs are abundant in our increasingly visual and media-oriented society, and digital technologies and the Internet have led to exponential growth in products and services for information and entertainment. MSU's Bachelor of New Media programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills to design information presentation and create media content for systematic communication. You will be trained in an array of courses such as interactive media journalism, digital video production, and integrated advertising among others. The innovative and constructive learning environment at Management and Science University will assist you to graduate with a host of skills that includes transferable communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. The industrial component of the programme may be conducted locally or abroad through the MSU Global Internship programme, which will further amplify your future employability.

Admission Requirements

A pass in STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects;
A pass in STAM with at least grade Jayyid;
Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.00;
A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;
An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;
A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval****;
A Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval****;
Note for (vi) & (vii): The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme;
Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government

AND

Pass an interview (online / virtual / conventional) OR submission of student’s portfolio, to be determined by the HEP as required.

Achieve a minimum score of Band 3 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR Low B2.**
