Having developed from the Department of International Trade of the College of Management, NTU, the Department of International Business was renamed in 1992 in response to the trend toward internationalization in business and related academic research.

Also in 1992 the Graduate Institute was granted the right to award master degrees, with the right to award doctorates being granted in 1995.

Carrying on a fine tradition established for many years, the department's teaching and the recruitment of faculty are concentrated in four main areas:

1.    International Business Management
2.    Marketing Management
3.    Business Strategic Management
4.    International Finance and Banking

The Department aims to equip students with integrated and profound knowledge in the area of International Business. The Department has created an environment which nurtures future business leaders with our excellent faculty and comprehensive course structure. As most industries in Taiwan are facing keen international competition, our graduates are not only competent in making managerial decisions from the international perspective, but also capable of making influential contributions.
