Physical therapists are licensed health care professionals whose goal is to restore, maintain and promote optimal physical function and fitness in persons of all ages. The School of Physical Therapy offers different programs that help meet their academic goals: Our Entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program (6-year program) provides the required education necessary for graduates to take the professional license examination and embark on a professional career in physical therapy; two graduate programs (Master of Science in Physical Therapy and Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Therapy) are dedicated to being internationally recognized for excellence, leadership and innovation in Physical Therapy education, practice and research through dedicated clinical, academic and professional partnerships. Our curriculum includes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, geriatric, sports, burn, obstetric and gynecologic, and long term care.
