The inter-university and international master's degree course in Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity aims to promote an advanced system of academic training and exchange, in full spirit of cooperation at European level. The course is carried out in collaboration with the Alpe-Adria University of Klagenfurt (Austria). Each student has to follow teaching courses in both universities, either in presence or on-line (at least 30 credits). The lessons will be taught in English.

At the end of their training, students will have to produce a degree thesis, written in English and containing an original contribution, which will be discussed in both universities. They will obtain a double Italian/Austrian degree.

The course allows students to experiment different approaches to teaching: on the one hand courses that offer an organic and complete picture of the disciplines, with particular attention to the foundational aspects; on the other hand, courses based on seminars and laboratories, with frequently changing programs, of Anglo-Saxon inspiration. The courses offered exploit the specific skills of the two universities in the IT area, in particular in the foundational and applied aspects of artificial intelligence and IT security.

The Course prepares graduates to autonomously carry out a large range of activities that are particularly  relevant and required by current IT society, at national and international level, such as for example Artificial Intelligence specialists, IT security specialists, as well as the usual activities of a graduate in computer science such as Software Analyst and Designer, System Analyst, Designer and Administrator.

These activities play a fundamental role in very different fields such as industry, IT and telematic services, public administration, health, scientific research, the environment and the territory, culture and cultural heritage, multimedia applications and, in general, in all organizations that use complex IT systems.

The training course is organized in such a way as to deepen both the theoretical and methodological bases and the technical knowledge, to prepare both for working with functions of technical or managerial responsibility, and for the continuation of studies with a doctorate or a second level master's degree in Italy or abroad.

Graduates in Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity can also participate in the information engineering state exam and undertake the path for teaching information technology in secondary schools.
