The degree course in Industrial Engineering for Environmental Sustainability aims to train Engineers capable of understanding the functioning of a production process, of managing it in full awareness of its environmentally relevant aspects (consumption of raw materials, energy, water; correct management of effluents pollutants and waste) and to innovate it by introducing plants / processes / management practices oriented towards eco-efficiency and environmental sustainability.
To achieve these objectives, the typical basic training of the engineer must be integrated with characterizing knowledge of Process Engineering and with a mature environmental awareness.
Thanks to the skills acquired, the industrial engineer for environmental sustainability is a technician who can carry out support activities for design, control and process management, as well as support activities for technical offices with specific expertise on safety and environment aspects.
