The Course has two curricula, Medieval Studies and Modern and Contemporary Studies. You will acquire a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of the methodology of historical sciences, research techniques and linguistic skills. You will develop the ability to focus on scientific literature (Italian and European) and use at least one language of the European Union other than Italian (including specific vocabulary). You will also acquire an understanding of the complexity and variety of European history, starting from the historical and cultural developments of the local area, and broadening the perspective to the Mediterranean and Atlantic area. After graduation, you will find employment in teaching, in the culture industry (for example, in tourism) and in research institutes (National Research Council, academies, foundations, research centers, etc.), in government and local bodies in the fields of cultural services, in publishing, and in public administration.
