The Mathematics study program obtained an operating permit on February 20, 2006 with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education number DJ.II/25/2006, located at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The Mathematics study program aims to produce Bachelor of Mathematics who are able to participate in various fields of work and are able to follow the development of science and technology, are adaptive, can continue their studies at a higher level both in mathematics and other related fields, have commitment, self-confidence, Islamic spiritual intelligence, and high work ethic. Also, able to formulate innovations and new discoveries in the field of mathematics along with their development and application so as to be able to provide a positive contribution in building a society in the field of mathematics based on Islamic values. With these abilities, graduates of the Mathematics study program are expected to be able to play an active role again in solving various problems that exist in society. The Mathematics study program has successfully achieved accreditation "B" from BAN-PT, stated in SK BAN-PT number 1201/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/XII/2015. In the Mathematics study program, there are Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics interests. Pure Mathematics consists of Algebra, Analysis, and Geometry. Applied Mathematics consists of Modeling, Statistics, Operations Research, Computational Mathematics, Financial Mathematics. Graduates of the Mathematics study program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung will be awarded the title S.Si (Bachelor of Science). Study Program Overview The Mathematics study program has a vision to become a superior competitive study program based on Wahyu Memandu Ilmu (WMI) and Islamic morality in Southeast Asia by 2025. Our mission is to improve the quality of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of mathematics, strengthen lecturers, students, and graduates with competence and noble morals, and improve professional service and governance. We also strive to improve strategic cooperation both nationally and internationally. Graduate competencies include strong knowledge, skills, and behavior in understanding and applying mathematical principles. Vision of the Study Program Towards a department that is competitively superior in the field of mathematics and its application based on Wahyu Memandu Ilmu (WMI) within the framework of noble morals in Southeast Asia in 2025. Mission of the Study Program To improve the quality of the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of mathematics and its application based on Wahyu Memandu Ilmu (WMI). Improve the quality of lecturers, students, and graduates who are competent, competitive, and uphold noble morals. Improve the quality of the implementation of services and professional governance of the Mathematics department. Improve strategic cooperation that supports the activities of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the mathematics department with various parties both on a national and international scale.
