The name of the Department/Study Program is Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Strata One (S1) level. With the establishment of the Government Policy in developing the institute into a university, which began its establishment, the Informatics Engineering Department/Study Program was established on May 20, 2000, based on the Decree of the Rector of the Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic Institute, Bandung Number 14 of 2000. Recommended by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, letter Number: 3829/T/2004, dated September 27, 2004. Furthermore, it received an operational permit from the Directorate General of Islamic Religious Institutions, Ministry of Religion based on Decree Number: DJ.II/384/2004, dated October 21, 2004. Study Program Overview The Electrical Engineering Study Program aims to be the leading one in ASEAN by 2025, integrating revelation as a guide to knowledge and having good morals. Our mission includes organizing professional education, research that contributes to science and society, community service for local independence, and developing networks with educational institutions, research, and industry. Our graduates are equipped with competencies in Electronics, Computer Control, Telecommunication Power, and Information Technology, ready to compete in national and regional markets. Study Program Vision To become a Superior and Competitive Informatics Engineering Department/Study Program in ASEAN by 2025 within the Framework of Noble Ethics Study Program Mission Organizing and managing professional, accountable, and competitive study programs to strengthen the development of science and technology in the field of informatics at the national and international levels based on revelation guiding science. Organizing higher education in the field of informatics that is able to create graduates who are skilled, professional, have an entrepreneurial spirit and noble morals. Conducting research to develop and apply science and technology in the field of informatics based on Islamic values. Organizing community service, to disseminate knowledge and technology in the field of informatics, in order to develop the potential and competitiveness of society rooted in Islamic values. Study Program Competencies Able to design appropriate and effective IT needs. Able to determine an effective IT management system. Able to maintain IT resources wisely. Able to manage IT that is applied with its development.
