The Physics Department of UIN was officially established in 2006 and has a vision to improve the science of Physics, both pure and applied, which will later be implemented in the study of the verses of the Quran specifically based on the field of Expertise Group of each lecturer. It is expected that this study will produce a new branch of science that can be applied in the field of education and community service in general. The KKNI curriculum of the Physics Department is adapted from the latest developments in the research fields of the Expertise Group and is formulated so that it can be implemented in the study of the verses of the Quran. It is expected that the achievements of the graduates produced are in accordance with the educational goals and objectives of the Physics Department curriculum of UIN Bandung. Academic development of students and lecturers in the Physics Department is carried out through seminar and conference agendas both nationally and internationally in order to produce many publications that are worthy of consideration in the international academic world.

The Physics Department aims to be at the forefront of integrating Physics and the verses of the Quran by 2025, making this study program the most advanced and competitive. Our mission is to provide professional education and teaching, based on the integration of science and the verses of the Quran. We are also committed to developing research in the field of Physics based on the integration of science and the verses of the Quran that are relevant and beneficial to education, industry, and public policy. Our graduates have competencies in Astrophysics, Earth Physics, Instrumentation & Robotics, Nuclear Physics, and Material Physics.

Vision of the Study Program

To develop Physics science through the tridharma of higher education towards the integration of science with the verses of the Quran in 2025 so that the Physics study program becomes a superior and competitive study program

Mission of the Study Program

To organize professional education and teaching in the field of physics based on the integration of science and the verses of the Quran Develop research and study works in the field of physics based on the integration of science and the verses of the Quran that are applicable and relevant for the needs of education, industry, and public policy.
