Study Program Overview The Biology Department aims to be at the forefront by 2035, both in Indonesia and internationally, in the field of biodiversity to support environmental sustainability and strengthen faith and good morals. Our mission includes organizing higher education based on biodiversity research, developing and publishing research, community service, exploring biological natural resources, and strengthening networks and partnerships. Our graduates have the skills in decision-making, applying expertise to solve community problems, entrepreneurship, and scientific communication skills. They also have responsibility, personality, and the ability to integrate scientific and Islamic values. Vision of the Study Program In 2035, to become a superior and competitive Biology Department in Indonesia and internationally in terms of biodiversity to support environmental sustainability and strengthen faith and noble morals Mission of the Study Program To organize Biology education at the university level based on research and development of biodiversity To develop and publish biological research in terms of biodiversity including zoology, botany, microbiology, biotechnology, and ecology to support environmental sustainability that strengthens faith and noble morals To organize community service and empowerment based on Biology and its applications in terms of biodiversity To explore natural biological resources with all their complexity and diversity to support environmental sustainability and strengthen faith and noble morals. 5. To establish cooperation with various institutions to strengthen networks and partnerships at the local, national and international levels. Study Program Competencies Graduates of the undergraduate biology study program (S1) are expected to be able to achieve competencies in accordance with KKNI level 6 with the following abilities: have the skills and abilities to make appropriate and professional decisions based on the results of analysis of information and data, and can choose alternative solutions independently and in groups in solving problems in the work environment they face according to the context to obtain the best results. are able to utilize expertise in the field of biology with the aim of solving problems in society adaptively. are able to apply biological science as a basis for developing entrepreneurship master the basics of mathematics and science to support the ability to solve problems in the field of biology. master the concepts, principles, theories and laws of biological science to solve problems scientifically. are able to develop biological science through research so that it can contribute to solving problems in society are able to communicate the results of studies in the field of biology have good responsibility, personality and independence in completing tasks as a biologist. are able to integrate scientific and Islamic values
