The Master’s Program in Astronomy has been established since 23 February 1998 and has been accredited "Unggul" by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education/BAN-PT (valid until 30 September 2026). The Master's Program in Astronomy offers an advanced education program for graduates of bachelor's degrees in astronomy, physics, mathematics, and other sciences, as well as graduates in other supporting fields (i.e archaeology, journalism, law, etc.). The Master's Program in Astronomy is divided into two field orientations: a. Advanced Astrophysics: the learning process is a continuation of the undergraduate program, i.e. studying advanced astrophysics courses with a career orientation as a researcher or scientist. b. Astronomy Development and Education: the learning process aims to explore and develop support system for future astronomical development in Indonesia, and study its impact on society.
