The department was established in 1970, making it the first unit in our country to provide education for occupational therapists. It is currently the only department in Taiwan with a complete occupational therapy educational system, encompassing bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.
The faculty's expertise covers a wide range of fields, including physical disabilities, mental disorders, child developmental disabilities, long-term care, and visual rehabilitation. More than half of our faculty members have received the university's Distinguished or Outstanding Teaching Awards, enabling us to provide students with a comprehensive and high-quality occupational therapy education.
The instructional objective of our bachelor's program is to cultivate occupational therapists who possess not only professional knowledge and skills, but also the core values of lifelong learning, professional ethics, and humanistic care.
