Department of Educational Sciences offers B. A. and M. A. in Guidance and Psychological Counseling which aim to raise teachers and scientists who keep up with technological developments and who are devoted to principles and rules of modern education, and competent in scientific and critical thinking in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. Upon completing all requirements stated in the curriculum, the students will be granted Guidance and Psychological Counseling diploma. Graduates of the four year B. A. programme are elligible to teach at state and private schools as counselors or work as instructors at state or private universities. Graduates of the two year M. A. programme are elligible to apply as instructors/lecturers at universities or continue their education at Ph. D. level. The department first started admitting students in 2011-2012 academic year and graduated its first students in 2014-2015 academic year. Currently, there are 26 academic personnel at our department. Starting from September 2021, our department will admit its first graduate students to Guidance and Psychological Counseling M.A. programme.
