Bartın University was established with the Law No. 5765 dated 22 May 2008. Physical Education and Sports School, on the other hand, was affiliated to the Rectorate of Zonguldak Karaelmas University, but its name and connection were changed and it was affiliated to the Rectorate of Bartın University. Our School of Physical Education and Sports was established on 26.01.2010. Bartın University School of Physical Education and Sports carries out its academic activities under the name of Faculty of Sports Sciences, with the President's Decision published in the Official Gazette dated 17.04.2019 and numbered 968, and our department continues its activities under the roof of our Faculty.
Our department; I can proudly state that, together with its students and graduates, it is in an effort to manage a successful process in which professional achievements are transmitted to the growing generations. I fully believe that this effort will turn into tangible benefits, together with all our stakeholders, with the sincerity of corporate belonging and family unity. As a part of the Faculty of Sports Sciences family, I am the head of the department, along with myself and all our administrative and academic staff working in our department. I fully believe that the students of our department will serve as distinguished and well-equipped Physical Education and Sports Teachers of the future.
