The Mechanical Engineering Department, which was established within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design at Bartın University, started its undergraduate education in the 2009-2010 academic year. Education and training activities are carried out at the undergraduate and graduate level in the department. With the scientific research to be carried out by the faculty members of the department, it is aimed to be the primary expert in the determination and solution of the current and potential industrial problems of the region and the country.

In the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BU; 2 Prof. Dr., 7 Assoc. Prof. Dr., 7 Asst. Prof. Dr. Instructor The education continues with a total of 18 academic staff, including a member, 2 Research Assistants. There are seven departments in the department. These;
