Leeds Beckett University

Our history stretches back almost 190 years to the founding of the Leeds Mechanics institute in 1824. Since then, we have grown into one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK with more than 24,000 students studying across our 2 campuses in Leeds.
We offer a wide and diverse range of more than 140 undergraduate and 200 postgraduate courses in various subject areas, from Law and Sports to Arts and the Social Sciences. Our head-turning facilities make Leeds Beckett University a fantastic place to learn. From biomedical and sport science laboratories to our very own mock courtroom and highly acclaimed music studios, we provide learning environments which enable you to embrace your interests and career aspirations.

In 2017 we were awarded Silver Status in the Teaching Excellence Framework, in recognition of our learning and teaching provision, course design, placements and links with employers. We help students stand out in today’s crowded job market - 96.4% of our undergraduates are in work or further study six months after graduating (Destination of Leavers Survey 2015/16) while 5,602 placements were registered for our students in 2016/17.
In the latest International Student Barometer, we received a 93% overall satisfaction rate from our students.
