Admission Requirements
You should also have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience and be able to demonstrate through your personal statement that you have developed professionally to a level that prepares you for an advanced clinical role.
Your personal statement should address the following criteria in no more than 1200 words:
- Identify the main national and local drivers that have influenced your expansion into an advanced clinical practice role;
- Describe how you will incorporate advanced clinical practice into your role and its benefit to service users;
- Evidence of how your use of research has developed clinical practice;
- Demonstrate how you implement change and how you monitor and evaluate practice;
- Evidence recent continual professional development;
- Evidence your understanding of the legal and role boundaries of the advanced practice role
You are required to provide evidence of support from an appropriate work based practice assessor and a practice supervisor for support in developing the advanced clinical practice competencies.
Applicants will need to satisfy the requirements for access to the Non-Medical Prescribing module as stipulated by the NMC/HCPC.
Your application should be supported by two references, either academic or professional; one of the references should be from a professional who can confirm that you have undertaken the necessary development for Advanced Practice.
