Creative direction sits at the intersection between creative strategy, communications, and design, encompassing campaigns and editorial work, public engagement, content, and branding. You'll gain the insight and experience to develop your practical and critical skills, while using your creative values to position your distinctive practice in industry.

Admission Requirements
Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Design, Communications or Visual Communications, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject and have a background in arts, sciences or humanities, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
In your personal statement please outline your interest and experience in the field of Creative Direction, and your future ambitions within the subject area. You should also include a section titled ‘Statement of Intent'. Under this heading you should cover the following criteria in around 500 words:
- Outline a project proposal, (this may change and develop as you progress through the course)
- Contextual inspiration for your project proposal, including case studies, reference points and process you would like to learn and test
- Conceptual inspiration (the narrative/meaning behind the project)
- Who is your intended audience, user group, customer, viewer, reader?
- Ideas for an outcome, mode of engaging your audience
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
