Depending on their way of life in biocenoses, they fall into two categories, harmful insects and beneficial insects. The basic objectives of entomology are the knowledge and understanding of the general morphological, anatomical and physiological characteristics of insects, their biology and ecology, as well as the acquisition of knowledge on the principles of integrated pest control in order to protect ecosystems.
