Speciality 521.04. Marketing and logistics is based on the content of a research area that
divides into two research areas. The first area is marketing which includes: demand and supply,
structure and development of markets, research and segmentation, market positioning of products and
companies, competitiveness and competition, marketing concepts, methods and forms of management
of marketing activities in an organization in the current conditions of the development of the Russian
economy and the globalization of markets. Object of study: industry, regional and global markets;
commercial and non-commercial organizations from various industries, spheres and scales of activity;
products and services that are goods from markets (tangible, intangible, intellectual and virtual),
external consumers (buyers and customers) and internal (personnel). The second area is logistics, the
content of this research area: planning, organizing and managing the flow of material, informational,
financial and human resources in order to rationalize them. The object of study: material (goods) and
accompanying information, financial flows both in the entire national economy and in the regions of
the country, in supply chains and at individual enterprises.
