This component has the quality of a pillar and basis for the acquisition of other competences. Language, speech and therefore coherent and efficient communication represent one of the most important faculties of the human personality, and through literature man fits into the system of spiritual values both of the ethnicity to which he belongs, and of humanity in general. As a field of professional training, Romanian language and literature has vast traditions and a wide possibility of applicability in various spheres of human activity. Many of the academic specializations provided by the field are interdisciplinary in nature and have implications for other fields, such as field 0220 Anthropology, 0222 History and Archaeology, 0223 Philosophy and Ethics, 0321 Journalism and Communication. The master's program in Romanian Language, Literature and Civilization is aimed at both graduates of the Faculty of Letters and those from other specializations interested in promoting and integrating the Romanian literary heritage into the European one.
