The course conveys the concepts, methods and possible applications of modern mathematics as well as in-depth knowledge in essential mathematical sub-disciplines. Skills such as structured logical thinking, the ability to abstract, and creativity are promoted, and the effective use of computers and mathematical software is introduced. Students have the opportunity to supplement these skills with an applied subject such as computer science, physics or economics and management, and set their own individual priorities within their course of studies through the choice of a specialisation. The combination of these skills and knowledge makes it possible for graduates to work on tasks from widely varying fields using mathematical models.
