The cross-faculty and consecutive Bachelor's degree programme ‘Teaching Qualification for Secondary Schools (practice-integrated)’ combines subject-specific training in two teaching subjects (including subject-specific didactics for the respective subject) with training in educational science, in which basic and specific knowledge in educational psychology, general pedagogy and career orientation is taught. The degree programme provides practical professional orientation through academically guided and supervised practical phases at secondary schools and provides theoretical and practical introductions to the chosen teaching subjects.
The programme provides the academic and didactic foundations for a subsequent Master's degree programme (M. Ed.), in which students acquire the skills required to qualify to teach at secondary schools. The degree programme is based on modern teacher training, the strength of which lies in the integration of theoretical and practical forms of learning.
