Our Medical Genetics BSc (Hons)/ MSci (Hons) will give you an in-depth knowledge of these essential building blocks of life. You will learn techniques for analysing gene expression, protein interactions, DNA structure and damage, image analysis of biomolecules and cells, and advanced computer analytical methods.

Admission Requirements
IB: 24 to include Higher Level grade 4 Biology
BTEC: Typically DMM including a good Biology profile
T Levels: We welcome applicants with T levels. Applicants will be assessed on a case by case basis.
As well as one of the above qualification types all applicants are required:
GCSE: English and Maths minimum Grade C Wales (England Pre-2017) or Grade 4 (England Post-2017)*
We accept Swansea University approved equivalent qualifications.
*Students wishing to take the Pathway to Medicine option the GCSE requirement is mandatory
For applicants whose first language is not English we require a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) and no less than 5.5 in each component.
