Umm Al-Qura University, the Chemistry Department offers two Bachelor of Science programs in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry. These new programs provide many career opportunities in education, industry, environmental institutions and other fields of work throughout the Kingdom, and students are prepared for postgraduate studies in chemistry and other related fields.
The study plans for the Bachelor of Science programs in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry programs were designed based on the specifications of international academic programs, taking into account increasing students’ awareness of safety and security protocols related to chemistry and its laboratories in various fields. Attention was paid when preparing the study plan and curricula to keep up with similar programs. And setting up field training for students to experience reality in the work environment. The requirements and standards for academic accreditation were guided by the standards of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the possibility of continuous improvement of curricula and study plans to respond to the development expected to occur in the world.
